Almost the same thing happened to me.
Me and a two other people in there (that remain VERY GOOD friends of mine to this day.) decided to leave the company to pursue our OWN damn goals. But as it turned out, the boss from the company that we working for was planning to sell out the company and make his money and can us. So, since we kinda outplayed him we cut HIM to the chase and left the company ourselves. We al sent emails to tell him that we quit.
Damn dot-commers. What a waste.
Now Im on my own and Im making 8 times more a month than what I was doing when I was employed..

Forget about the demos feature on Q3test. You can view a couple of screenshots out there on Q3...It looks really promising...
Here's 'ol Carmack's snip on demos...
However, there is still a reason for using it: recorded demos come out a LOT smoother looking when running with sync. Note that q3test does not allow demo recording and playback, so this is just for future reference...
