The United States Gun Control Act wasn't enacted until 1968. Guns were MUCH more easy to obtain in the '50s and '60s. Guns are more difficult to obtain today in the U.S. than ever before.
But in the '50s and '60s we didn't have high school students committing mass murder.
So is guns really the problem here? I don't think so.
