Far as I'm concerned that's still one of the best computer games ever released. It was one of the primary reasons for the purchase of my second computer (the first being a tandy 1000, which didn't meet the minimum system requirements, alas). Not only did it have great gameplay and an interesting plot, but it has one of the best soundtracks of any pc game I know of, up to current times. Heck, I bought a second copy of the game when it came out on CD, since they redbooked the music so I could listen to it outside the game. The two sequels, alas, were absolutely terrible, but the original still stands tall.
I'm not a big fps fan, but the loss of the company that brought the world Betrayel at Krondor fills me with sadness. You will be missed, Dynamix.
