The fan in the power finally stop after making some funny noise. I have oiled the fan as described with WD40. The fan turned again, only after about 2 months, it stopped again. So this time, I used sewing machine oil. With only two drops, it's been working for months without any problem.
I have four crappy computers on my desk right in front of me, three of them with lid open. Altogether there are ten fans blowing, I did not notice much noise.
Since it is your home office why not put some background music like jazz. If that doesn't work, try heavy metal.

Heat generated by the computer affects the moisture of the wood and causing slight curling.
Also the ugly plastic door of the CDrom and floppy hardly mix with the fine Hardwood. Just why bother to put them together.
That is why manufacturers put this baby in the 3G cellular phones. The size of the phone bill will keep the usage of the LED screen down. After 1000-2000 hours usage probably in one or two years a new model 3G phone appears cheaper and loaded with features. So OLED could be used even the life-span is short.
Carefully remove the shield on the optical fibre and put a light detecting device to read the traffic.
It's impossible to use your James bond antennae to tap on optical fibre because it does not give off electromagnetic radiation.

These are exactly the wrong features to put into a PDA. If you need all these, try get yourself a small laptop computer where you can put your full version office together with printer port, modem and all the stuffs. If you can accept a small screen of 640 X 480, there are some models in the market that can be made real small.
But if you are talking about PDA, its the handy intuitive tools that count and that's the reason why people buy the Palm.

Whenever a button is required, we print a bar-code label just for that purpose. So it is just point-and-click with our bar-code reader. Most of the items sold are labeled with barcode. Items not labeled will be recorded with pencil and paper.
Keyboard and keypad is removed because the cashier does not know how to operate them ! All maintainance work were done through another terminal.
