I've not seen the java runtime for smartphone? please post a link....
j2me isn't the way forward for real app development for phones, the only java stuff i've seen are crappy games at 5ukp a go and 'useful' tools like world clocks and currency converters. where are the _manly_ tools like ssh, pop3/imap email, vnc? i know my spartphone in my pocket can do that can your java phone?
the best filter i have is if the message contains "-->" bin it, anything else the magic list-o-words picks up and bins for me. 99% of the spam i have had in the last month the from header is good, because its from someone else getting the spam
almost as much fun as finding the ewc for bodyparts for the skip at work or convincing w2k to raid 5 some hard disks - owen (needing more beer and smokes)
I moaned about the spam to my mobile operator (orange) and they said that the people responsible for it are just using random 11 digit numbers begining with 07. now i think orange are blocking sms from the cheap european providers at source The Reg and it has stopped.
