I've been quite troubled about the use of printouts as official documents as well. I expect this will soon fade away and instead you will simply use your credit card or drivers liscence in the same way that southwest uses it in their checkin kiosks. Simply put you dl or cc in and it looks you up in their database to see which flights you are registered on today.
It would be relatively simple and cheap to overwhelm the system with much cheaper drones. Star wars has been and always will be about economics. In the early 80s it was about bankrupting the Soviets, as well as giving us an extra chip to play with in disarmament negotiations that they did not have. Now it's about a President who is faced with an amazingly complex foriegn affairs landscape, and wishes to deal with it in a simplistic way (while making defense contractors rich).

Ironic that the initial formation of Apple was initially threatened because Woz was working for HP when he invented the Apple I! A supervisor at HP inspected the Apple I and deemed it insignificant enough as to not be a threat...
