Haven't we heard this same line eternally before? As computer speeds increase, we always seem to come up with new ways of using that performance, and it's not just 'code bloat'.
I'm sure everyone can come up with ideas they'd like to see in a hand held device
1. Voice/audio recording - GSM for voice, MP3 for audio
2. Voice recognition - My voice, not someone elses
3. Hand writing recognition - My handwriting, not what I'm told to write
4. Video capture - MPEG4, see the movie "Until the End of the World" for an interesting vision of future 3G mobile services
