  1. This is a neutral ground choice. on The Open Sourcing of Oracle · · Score: 1
I think by reading this kind of articles and other blurbs on the net, that Oracle is a choosing the neutral ground against Open Source.

I never heard about Oracle developping Open Source projects or participating actively on such projects. They seem to tend towards the 'Open Source is a trend, but we won't fight it' attitude, which is ... well good, however not enough.

Open Source is and will make the industry milestones in the future. Companies that don't realize this will just miss the boat. It's simple, no company will ever be able to fight a million developpers and more. (Speaking of the future, of course ;)

    YES! Cool, no more Microshaft...

Who the hell said that Kozmo was honest in their e-mail anyway ? You guys shouldn't really believe everything you read.

That could have been bullshit all the way, with a small web-bug in the e-mail body or any other nasty tricks like it.

I'm a radical person and if we have to be radical to stop SPAM then so be it.

And for the Spam question, this ain't a question of laws. Spam is anything coming into my mailbox that i didn't want. Conclusion, this was Spam, period.

How much freakin time does it take for the freakin unix console to freakin appear. Worst, why don't you try running 2 unix consoles at the same time.
( Having 2 consoles at the same time isn't a kick, any good unix or linux developper knows that. )

Try it! Please try it! Do you know what you have to go through just to do this yet simple and essential task.

To close this how long did you have to wait until your 10 files got actually to the trash can?

KiddieOS X is a weak and poor OS. Nobody is ever going to convince me of the opposite. Try me. I challenge anybody to prove that KiddieOS X is actually a truly strong reliable and efficient OS.

I did, and i can tell ya I'm not going to wait for that stupid kiddie interface to do whatever it does before i can read my freakin directory structure.

This OS is weak. I personaly never saw something as slow for basic ops as this OS. Hey you want a demo, open your config and try to change the background (This ain't a basic op btw). You can benchmark the time it takes to open the necessary panels, but i know from my point of view it's too freakin slow.
    Who needs benchmarks anyway ?

If this is part of Apple's new strategy, well you can count the apple out.

MACOSX = KiddieOS X (That's a better name for it.)

So my point is Apple has a lot to do before even thinking about stupid copyrigth laws. This OS really needs a couple of patches and the likes before it can be accepted as a good OS.

As for Apple's Lawyers, they seem to have a lot of spare time for justifying their jobs.

What we all refer as SPAM is in fact a technic believed to be effective by the marketing people. The problem here folks isn't SPAM, it's Marketing.

Yes marketing is an important part of a company's business strategy to sell its products, however, it has grown too much. Today we are flooded with marketing flicks everywhere.

Marketing, today, has become a NEGATIVE image of a product. You want proofs! You don't need any. This is just common sense, no super hot chick in a commercial flick is never gonna make me buy that really important product i need. More and more people just want plain QUALITY.

Bulk e-mail marketing campains DO NOT WORK. Don't give me bullshit with that. I've seen so many good Internet projects failed because they were based on e-mail marketing or banner marketing. These medium usually attract a good amount of users for a very short period of time. And that is why these Marketing strategies DO NOT WORK.

You know what most user do with your SPAM? They create an hotmail account and redirect all your marketing crap to it. They're not even READING your crap. Everyone knows these type of marketing e-mails are just crap.

    Conclusion: Hell's crap,
just send your load of crap

You ever had a looked at the Windows kernel, let's talk about the Green Giant or something like that ... :) 2. Clean ??? You only have to grab a simple C++ compiler and work with the Windows structure to see that this isn't clean at all. 3. Sensible ?? Heu, i don't know but i usually don't speak to my computer about my feelings :) 4. Efficient ?? Maybe, sometimes, only when Windows wants it. Porche (Linux or any Unix based system): 1. The Porche seems to be a bit more compact than your Razor, something is already wrong within your comparison. 2. Clean ? Yeah sure, if you want to get chicks you better keep your porche clean. Jokes aside, i do believe developpement is easier on Unix based stations than Windows. 3. Sensible ? Euh... Let's just forget that. 4. Efficient ? 100 mph in less than 10 secs top speed 180 mph, mmm speaks for itself. 5. Price ? I don't know for you but, comparing the huge license prices of Windows with the 0 $ that Linux costs i'm tempted toward a Porche. Conclusion. This analogy is wrong. Unix systems may look a lot like their Porche car counterpart, however Windows isn't a Razor ( Being the poor Razor conceptor, i would be insulted. ) Windows is a FREAKIN Lada man, that's what Windows is. I agree with that a 100%. However, concerning your last comment, you may not have to be mechanic to drive a car, but you do have to know when to change the oil. From one computer mechanic to another, if you want to use your computer correctly you better know how to maintain it. That's one. Two, anybody that wants an easy car to maintain would normally buy a good and reliable car, not a Lada. Because that's what Windows is right now, a Lada, nothing else.
