The commercials are a real gas, they say stuff like "Your company is not in danger unless you have any former or disgruntled employess" or something along those lines. The org is called the business software alliance or BSA. I have to wonder though, this isn't a governmental organization, what would happen if you simply don't let them in.

The real point that seems to be missing is the great realization that the people from different countries aren't capable of getting along. It's one of the great truths from God that we fail to recognize. We want to think that eventually we will come together and all live as one, it will never happen. The French have proven themselves unable to get along with anybody for Christs sake, that should be a big clue for us right out of the gate.
I hope that at the very least we can agree to disagree, I hope and I pray that maybe we can all learn a lesson from the Canadians and be a little more civil to our neighbours.

I'm all for following the license restrictions imposed by comercial software but these chaps are being forced to spend resources to audit their systems just to appease a commercial software vendor..Since when did Microsoft have the Kings power to dictate such events in a free market? In a competative market this would not happen. Something must be done before we loose all freedoms and are forced back into the middle ages. I beg of you all to write your parliment or Congress.
Why must you Microsoft zealots be so defensive about your OS? Don't you see how it only makes the world dislike you more? We are all aware of Microsofts callous attitudes towards protecting it's less informed users and how they essentially take advantage of them. I think it's really sad to see so many of you here in this tech forum who continue to turn a blind eye. It makes me sad to see so many people get hurt by these inept attempts to make a secure product. I beg of you all, lets all band together and raise the bar.
And in other news 50 *BSD users say they prefer *BSD over Linux. Lets face it, unless a poll is done scientifically and in a controlled environment the results are meaningless. It's a fairly well known fact that the *BSD's are not very popular due to the zealotry and elitism associated with it. This is the same trouble we are seeing the GNU/Linux/Debian distro experience.
Now before you get your beanies all worked up into a bunch I didn't say there is anything wrong with *BSD, no, I like what you fellows are doing to try to get things up the speed to bring it into the mainstream, I hear good things about how the file system is getting fixed and you are trying to put threads into the system. Once that is done and you get the TCP/IP stack up to speed I might even try it!!! So carry an and lets try to put this whole argument behind us, there will always be room for other OS's other that Linux, there is no reason for you BSD guys to give up now.
