Look, I am sick and tired of people complaining about how dark the GBA screen is. I have had a GBA since the launch in June and I am incredibly satisfied with it. I will agree that a backlit screen would've significantly improved the overall playability of the system. However, it would've significantly affected the price of the system, its release date, the battery life, and the overall maintenance of the system. I too have struggled while playing Castlevania COTM, Mario Kart, Advance Wars, etc. But this is a blessed burden we all must deal with. The GBA will outsell the PS2, XBOX, and GCN with good reason: it is the best handheld system made to-date. So, I suggest you all get a light-shield or a worm-light and calm the f*#$ down, cuz nintendo isnt gonna be making any new GBAs.
First of all, you are a bigot, racist, ignorant hate-monger, and overall jack-ass for even posting something like this. We do not even know who is responsible for the tragic attack on the world trade center - yet you are ready to destroy all members of the ethnic group associated with the suspects? What if it had been african-americans, or jews? Would you then be prepared to sling racial epithets at these groups as well? Remember Oklahoma City? I saw your question and immediately thought of a new technology being developed by Constellation 3D. It's called FMD/C (Fluorescent Multi-layer Disks and Cards). In fact, I just did a class presentation on it last night, rather fascinating media.
The disks are the same size as cd's and dvd's, but are transparent w/ a tint, and will initially hold 140GB of data on 30 layers. Again, that's the first generation disk, they also plan to release 100 layer disks later on, and disks with capacities of up to a terabyte. The speed is also extremely fast compared to current cd and dvd reading/writing technology. They say it will be able to read at speeds exceeding a gigabit/sec because of their parallel data access technology. The parallel access allows it to access data on multiple layers and tracks simultaneously for increased speed. The disks are also more reliable than cd's and dvd's because they aren't as prone to data loss from scratches/imperfections on the surface.
The other thing you might like is that they're planning a disk 200mm in diameter for corporate archival.
