Wikipedia has degenerated over the past several years. This is partially due to many of the references to dead links (many at news sites that have ported everything to a CMS that purposely killed old links), many not even in archive.org (because of financial interests in harvesting dollars for gated news sites).
At any rate, this is such a shortsighted observation. If you read the blogger's article, you will understand that what is at stake is a larger social dynamic, and not the availability of static information.
