If I could get the meeting mavens to work! My stress level would be much lower! Of 6 people in the department 2 do the work while the rest stand around and talk. Not about projects or business, personal BS. I clocked one last week while she spent 3 hours and 24 minutes on the phone with family members.
As these people make up ideas that wont get beyond the meeting stage they are able to get out of the work they were hired for. My only hope is a VP gets the guts up to out-source the whole I/T department.
I went from consultant to full time employee, I'm regretting the move.
I have a few comments. But first some background. I'm 40 and have 5 and 7 year old kids. I love them! I was once told "Freedom is not the right to do as you want, but the right to do as you should." Now on to the good stuff. I didn't have a PC when I was a kid in 1969, we played with toy guns outside. No one I knew then grew up to be a mass murder. But the war was in full force. I went to school and got punched in the face a few times. New kids always get tested. I went on to JR. and High School and we moved before my junior year. I got tested for ## (insert number) , but this time I came out on top and clowns left me alone. Stand up for your selves, take karate classes and learn to protect yourself. It is your right to protect yourself. No mater what the clowns said or did to me I know this "I make so much more money then they do now!" Cause I got skiltz, I got great skiltz. I know the captain of the football team now and he works so hard to make a buck. I make almost 3 times what he makes. I sit and watch my income go up and my investments grow. Remember, you could be in a position to hire the clown one day.
