It would have been much easier and more effective to just tell your kids, "We made BILLIONS with SCIENCE, and YOU CAN, TOO!". That would have interested them enough.
It doesn't 'uninstall' programs so much as it reinstalls Windows, then attempts to re-setup previously installed programs. Sometimes it's successful, too many times it's not, making it look like it uninstalled something that in fact it just wasn't able to set back up.
Even if it's 100% successful though, it leaves you with the guilty-child-sounding message, "All your files are exactly where you left them", which is funny in and of itself.
Let's wait and see if October 2016 is, in fact, significantly warmer than any other on record. Personally, I think predicting something like that almost a year in advance is just bad science:)
