Humans and businesses want control, transparency and dynamic developer environment. Something like a start-up with no clue on what they want to do, but would like to develop software for their business as the developer "types out the code". They travel from Point A to Point B with one developer and can go to Point C with another developer.
Hailing a developer to do something is a good way to figure out things at lower cost.
I do not think, till now, remote software development allows "hailing" a developer.
