The performance benefits of dynamic logic is well known. However, dynamic logic is going the way of the dinosaur for one simple reason: POWER. Dynamic logic uses in some cases 5x more power than static. As transistor counts continue exponentially climbing, power is growing out of control. No one in the future will be able to afford the huge power cost of using dynamic logic chip wide. We can't today, and in 2 years transistor counts will be double what they are now. Their technology does nothing to address the power issue, so it will be used only in boutique processors for applications which can afford expensive and complicated cooling solutions. That's why the article was so long on glitz and hype, but short on details.
