and i've replied to you in:

for me the wright brothers were great inventors, but what they created was not a real airplane (for the ones who didn't read my comment linked above, please do so before replying)

i kind of agree with you, maybe i was a bit misleading

but my concept of airplane is of a machine that can take off by it's own means and fly, and by this conecpt, Santos Dumont made the first flight, ok?

in 1908 the wright brothers where indeed far ahead of santos dumont whom at this time was suffering from multiple sclerosis

but take a look at this Smithsonian Institute page (http://educate.si.edu/scitech/impacto/graphic/avi ation/alberto.html)
about santos dumont first flight in 1906

"thanks to this flight the "Archdecon Prize" was awarded to Santos Dumont, who had thus, solved the problem of making a heavier-than-air machine take off by its own means."

so, why would they write this if he wasn't the first to fly?

    just correcting you,

the wright brothers patented their method of lateral control in 1906

santos dummont made his first machine propeled flight in 1906

and in his second try yet in 1906, he could control
the plane in a very similar but not identical way to the wright brothers

and to all reading this thread, according to this Smithsonian Institute page (http://educate.si.edu/scitech/impacto/graphic/avi ation/alberto.html)
about santos dumont first flight in 1906

"thanks to this flight the "Archdecon Prize" was awarded to Santos Dumont, who had thus, solved the problem of making a heavier-than-air machine take off by its own means."

and the real inventor was a Brazilian named Santos Dummont whose first flight was in Paris, France.

it's so stupid to blame the low on sales on piracy, when lowering CD prices would make the sales rise

most people who pirate the CDs wouldn't buy them anyway, and many would buy if they where cheaper
