Seriously, get a good (as in buy them from a proper telescope shop) set of binoculars and a decent camera tripod.
Both are useful outside of astronomy and until you know whether you are really keen it's not worth spending lots of money. They are also great to use as spotters while you are using your real telescope as they have a fantastic field of view.
I started with a pair of Gerber 10x50s which is getting to the limit of what I would consider comfortable to hand hold without a tripod. The tripod itself is a standard camera tripod with a binocular mounting bracket.
Then start out with something simple like: http://www.skymaps.com/downloads.html to see what you should be looking at in the sky and getting familiar with the sky.
Once you are happy that astronomy is right for you just have a go at lots of different telescopes that your local astronomy club members use and see what you like. Astronomy is a very expensive hobby, one that you might not like so just be careful
I think CSS is good, most of the times I have had problems with CSS is when trying to adapt a correct layout to a layout that works with IE. Yes its frustrating.
The good thing is that if there is something that is particularly difficult to do in css you can be pragmatic and just use tables for that part.
It is still worth controlling as much as you can through css but don't be too obstinate about falling back to tried and true layouts.
Whilst I agree SUS is useful, it is very very very far from being perfect, it's reporting functionality is totally nonexistent, it is unable to roll back patches, you cannot approve updates to servers/clients with a different timetable without running 2 sus servers, that means 2 seperate servers running 2k server. I am hoping that v2 (Windows Update Services) is far better than the hunk of crap that is SUS.

if you aren't a business then you have no business being in the.com domain. I know every man and his dog does it but that doesn't make it right, go get a.net.au if you don't have and don't want a business registered under the same name.
