Because it runs only on WinNT/2k servers and they, in turn, run only on Intel-based hardware?
That's not entirely true. They do run on more than just X86 hardware. I believe Alpha is supported...

I never said we were founded on the ideas of welfare and social services. I said we were founded on ideas of socialism. The welfare statement just shows how it is in effect still to this very day. Point in case: The pilgrims who first came over worked together and shared the food that they produced. That IS considered a form of socialism.

You're missing my point. The game looks GREAT... That is if you can get it to run faster than 15 frames per second... Looks awesome. Doesn't run so smoothly...

You make it sound as if this is a battle between two types of philosophy. Don't read so much into it. They're a business, not a country. The United States is founded on ideas from both Capitalism AND Socialism. How else could we have a free market, but also have a welfare system??? Loki Games will survive. I have faith. Why? They not only cater to the Linux community, but also do good for gaming in general. If you didn't know already, when they ported Deus Ex, they had to develop their own files to render the game. Since the Windows rendering of Deus Ex was so crappy, they provided these files and made them available to the Windows community as well... They did NOT have to do that, but did it instead out of compassion (I assume). I for one know this did alot for their credibility for Windows users who play Deus Ex. Perhaps they will look to Linux later??? Hopefully...
