Even with a considerable bandwidth increase, off-planet service probably won't please most people. The throughput might be fine, but the connection time would suffer from having to go out to the satellite and back. Even with optimal routing, ping times would be approaching a full second. This may not sound like problem at first, but just imagine a one second wait on every connection. With interactivce applications (ie shells), it makes that bandwidth seem useless.,donr
