    You did not get O'Reilly's point!
    His argument was that this book should not have been published by a state-funded institution. The Univ of Minnesota gets a lot of its money from the taxpayers (you and me!) and there are probably better things to spend it on than publishing controversial books such as Harmful to Minors.
    If the book had been published by a 'private' publisher, O'Reilly would not have put it on his show.

    I'm confused. The subject of the article is "Describing the Web with Physics" while, to me, it looks like Describing the Web with Graph Theory or Mathematics. Is there not a distinction between math and physics?

    Most people don't realize how much their lives are actually influenced by technological advancements that have been made available by NASA and other 'why even bother' research programs.
    The requirements for some of NASA's programs have created the need for new technologies, some of which have trickled down to the average consumer in the form of microwave ovens or "sleep systems" (translation: beds).
