    I thought in the world of rotation you talked about angular velocity (omega) and angular acceleration (alpha), angular momentum, etc. There is nothing inherent in rotation that will slow it down, except a force in the direction opposite to the direction of the angular velocity (which usually is friction). The force you mention is what is commonly called "centrifugal" force, or the result of centripetal acceleration. You are on a merry-go-round going fast; you have to hold on to keep from flying off. The force you apply is DIRECTLY towards the center of rotation, which does nothing to the angular velocity.

    Tragedies don't have happy endings. A good Darth Vader tragedy would be where he was turning back to the good side, with Luke attentive, and one of Vader's top apprentices crushed both Vader and Luke, and went on to seduce Leia with smooth talk.
