  1. Re:It makes sense on Modded XBox The Ultimate Multimedia PC? · · Score: 1, Interesting

320G Drive currently running in my XBOX. Basically any size IDE drive there is out there on the market the XBOX can currently run it. They mainly have a BIOS if your drive is = 160 and another one for 160+.

Also you can even add a switch to your XBOX to have 3 additional HDs (only 1 can be used at a time) which would give you 320G x 4 = 1.2Tb of spaec available on your XBOX.

Now you ask why would anyone need all that space? Drive 1- Original Untouched XBOX, Drive 2- All XBOX Games, Drive 3- DVD, SVCDs movies etc and Drive 4- plain old dump drive for FTP, downloads, web browsing and overflow.

  2. Cost, Install Time, Better Overall on Cable Sprints, DSL Trudges, Free ISPs Pant · · Score: 1

Its all in peoples experience and opinions. Out here in the west coast its cable all the way. Cheaper Monthly, Faster speeds, same day install time. Or take DSL which $10 more per month, 1 month install, slower capped speeds. Would be nice if people new all the ridiculous requirements of DSL to make it such a good product which less than 15% of the people can even qualify to get. Los Angeles for exampled, I think we are upto 30+ Million people now. You have to be within 1 mile of the CO to get DSL, how many COs do we need to give everyone decent speed or qualify them. And most of the people in LA can't even afford $40/mo let alone car insurance. Over rated, over hyped, overly ridiculous. blah.

  3. Re:Aren't they already net-enabled enough? on Federal Technology Czar Proposed · · Score: 1

the 225 Million is probably being used for nothign more than ways to keep track of people via the internet. As you said just about everything now is or will be internet enabled.

Probably finding more ways to get envolved in SOftware companies and put in more NSA keys like they did in MS Windows.

The easier it is to get online means the easier it is for the government to find us, track us, and actually control us. How much of our lives now are actually on paper anymore? Through a few clicks they can change your medical/police history, change your credit, allow you to drive or not, etc... Its nice, but its getting too dangerous.

Can we assign a Czar to watch the Czar who is watching the Czar?
