Sorry to all those non-brits who are reading this.
The problem actually lies with the attitudes of industry and the educational establishments. Who the hell wants to work in that stuffy British culture of shirts, ties and autocratic bosses.
Then there are the toothless institutes that are totaly out of touch with young engineers and do nothing to encorage interest in the subject.
I trained for 6 years to get into engineering, and even with a good degree and some experience I could earn more as a car salesman or IT support analyst.
Engineering in england sucks because of the older generation and their ancient attitudes.
