Forgot to mention that I would like to see mailing addresses converted to a random 13 letter/number combination that would be impossible for me to remember. I mean, if I can remember it, so can Big Brother! Fight the powers, brothers and sisters!
This is an amazing intrusion of privacy... I mean,[sarcasm] all other aspects of our day to day lives are so secure [/sarcasm], such as phone calls, travel arrangements, previous employment, day to day habits... oops, guess not.
No, "dealing with it" is coming to terms with the situation. "Dealing with it" does not necessarily involve being expressive about it. A guy can secretly hate his job, but as long as he prevents himself from doing some sort of violent/unethical act, then he has "dealt with it".
The same for any situation.
A person who has come to terms w/ the situation, problem, etc. no longer has to be expressive about it.
Uh, and no, people do not "fuck" or "kill" things to deal with them. That's just some kind of huge bullshit generality. People either deal with it, or they pop. If what you said were true, all blue collar workers would be bombing their work centers.
Really, I wish you would actually make an intelligent comment.
A state is generally considered it's own independant government/country (the state of Germany, the state of France, etc.). "United States" is just a throwback to when the "states" actually were their own independant governments. Of course, I may be wrong...
Actually, nuclear reactors are quite safe and have been in use in many well developed countries w/ only 2 major accidents. Only one of the accidents (Chernobyl) was uncontainable.
Learning to deal w/ your anger (not repressing it) is preferable to expressing it through hatred of different groups of people.
I would also like to add that perhaps 80% of the people out their who have ethnic, sexual and religious prejudices against others are not likely to change their beliefs, regardless of what events occur that are contrary to those beliefs.
"maybe knowing arcane facts about culturally irrelevant subjects doesn't pay?
Once again, your stupidity knows no bounds. Mathematics, physics and the various engineering fields may be "culturally irrelevant", but they actually contribute to our advancement as a society. However, pop art, plays, and various other "culturally relevant" areas have contributed much less to the advancement of the human race.
Of course people suffering from severe mental handicaps, comatose victims, and others who would be unable to care for themselves (regardless of age) would not constitute 'life' by your definition.
Hrm... unless you are willing to give up the personal luxury of a car and begin using public transportation, perhaps you should rethink your statement. Btw, why don't you mention how inferior their internet infrastructure is?
Yes, but you forget that the Australian population is alot more concentrated in certain areas. Because the majority of the Australian people live in large metropolitan areas, it is much easier for their telecommunications network to be set. Hell, if 90% of the U.S. population lived in New York or California, it'd be just as easy for us to be as wired as they are. Idiot.
I don't find it ironic that no one else has replied to your post. As usual, if the general SlashDot fan club doesn't like a post, they'll skip over it or post AC.
Who said they thought they could do it better? According to the article they said they could do it cheaper... and I would venture to say that it's *very* arrogant for Boeing to believe that unless millions of dollars are involved (which is a resource luxury that Boeing has), the satellite won't work.
Believe me, unless this satellite had some sort of open source software or had a big banner that said "Screw M$!!!" on the side, these narrow-sighted fools wouldn't care less.
I swear, most of you people are idiots. As soon as someone brings up such an interesting feat such as this one, people are quick to point at all the flaws. Well, I would like to see you idiots build a satellite for even triple the cost. Cripes, they do something great as an undergraduate project and all you idiots can see are the negatives. Morons.
The sig itself is a play on the double meaning of the word "flies".
The comparison to the passage of time to the flight of an arrow is because both are swift.
Haha... you must've had to stop stroking your dad off to think of that one.
Read the article, idiot.
Someone mod this up to "Insightful".

I wonder, how many of the posters here that object to the loss of our civil liberties are also the ones applauding the foiled attempts of the NRA?

Respond when you come up with a decent argument.

Apparently you're too cowardly to post under your own login, so I'll just ignore you for now.

Idiots, Microsoft is considered a software company... regardless of MSN.
