right on. as idiots need support too, they dont need to be hostile. after all, they are the one who placed the call in the first place! did you get his ip number?;)
while i agree with the majority about tech support being monotonous and all that, my main problem with tech support is when i try to explain to them that they dont have to talk slowly to me because i know whats going on, they still do. the ones i like talk to me in a technical manner and dont treat me like i dont know where to plug in my power supply. of course if you tell them you dont have plug outlets so your computer is 'hardwired' into your house electrical system, they get confused... lol. and when they talk slowly to you, just use some big words and confuse them even more. make them wonder why you have a car battery with a power inverter as a backup power supply...;P
i understand that there must be penalties for breaking the law, but if i were a head of a major corporation or whatever, i think i would want people with the ability to 'hack' systems... why? well think about it... if there were no burglars, there would be no security systems for your home or car. if there were no hackers, we wouldnt need firewalls and such. so instead of finding the weakness in a system and develop preventative measures, we would rather just forbid all the criminals from doing crimes so we dont have to worry about security. sounds good to me.
