Ooo I say something that someone doesn't agree with and it's flamebait? I thought nerds were supposed to be intelligent. Why didn't anyone else who said the same goddamn thing I did get modded "flamebait"? Because I hurt someone's feelings? Grow up, for crissakes, or I'll stuff you into your locker....

Hey toughguy- You are right about China, N.Korea, Iran, although I do find it funny that you can only name the countries that you see on MSNBC, the world's most oppressive regimes, as some kind of proof that USA isn't so bad, compared to the "rest of the world"...Here's the news: there are quite a few more countries out there that are not Iran, N. Korea, or China...Why not try to prove your point using some other countries? But then I expect you'll make some comparison between USA 2005 and Denmark circa 900 A.D...

What a bunch of gentleman the USA politicos are, compared to those club-swinging Vikings, eh??

I'm not saying the USA is the only country out there with blood on its hands, but, save the "axis of evil"(tm) countries, the blood is the freshest, and most unjustafiable on the hands of the USA, and I want nothing further to do with it.

And I'm not even touching the USA-PATRIOT act, and its great disservice to US citizens and our founding fathers.

So how's this for a deal:

I'll piss off to where I want to go, and you guys can stay right here in the best goddamn country in the whole wide world, mmkay?

btw: real appropriate username you two have got...do your SUVs with the "USA ribbons" on it have tinted glass too? We know you're on your cell phones anyway, by the way you ride the center line....

You're prolly the ones trying to change your outlook sounds lol

Seriously! I asked a question about aggressively pursuing citizenship in a foreign country (i.e burning my current "bloodstained" U.S. passport in front of a government official in the country where I want to stay), and it wasn't accepted...I guess that question wasn't intelligent enough...Having my MS-Outlook cycle through .wav files, now there's "stuff that matters"....

No offense to the user who posted the original query...It's just a bit mushy of a question for this site, and my comments are aimed at the folks who decide which questions get the green light or not...

TrappedByMyself say-"What's even sadder is that you work to spread the apathy and cynicism which keep people from bothering to act. You're a tool of your enemy."

Being completely awake to the situation in, and directly affected by, the U.S. of A. does mean cynicism and apathy, when one also feels that their choices are limited to marching up and down a pavement or casting a vote into an unreliable and corrupted election, or writing a letter to one of the heads of the enemy in Washington.

What one would see from having their eyes wide open and a healthy mental faculty is that the apathy ends when we realize that we have some other choices.

People need to start shunning the US.

Abroad, businesses need to stop doing so much business with the US.

Domestially, unhappy citizens need to start looking at moving to another country. There are plenty out there, folks, and you'd be amazed at exactly how disgusting the US has become, compared to some other western, 1st world, rich-as-fook countries that don't seem to be hated the world over. You might be a nice person, but you are just Borg here.

Put your energy, time, and tax revenue into a more noble, honorable society. Either that, or start flipping over police cars, judge and sentence government officials for their crimes against this country, and do what must be done for an *effective* result.

I moved out of the US of frikkin A 10 years ago and I couldnt be happier. And guess what: not one penny of tax money earned on my sweat paid for one single DU bullet.

Let's stop pussyfooting around here. Anyone who wants *relavent* change and thinks that traditional means are gonna get us there is nothing more than a taxpaying, war machine greasing part of the problem. ...No offense.

Am I the only one who can see that as net/sms-speak gets stronger in the English-speaking world, the closer the English-speaking world moves toward becoming the Dutch-speaking world?

Back to the topic, it's as simple as being a good host when you have a party...There is not a huge problem with the internet or chat-rooms-gone-wild...It's just more real-life the people at Yahoo et al have to deal with. If you have a party, you need to expect that sh*t happens. Somebody's gonna puke in the terrarium. Somebody's gonna put a ciggie out on the floor.
Part of the reality of having a party involves some vigilance on the part of the host, or it might get out of control. Same goes for hosts like Yahoo and this whole topic. Ya see a kid-pr0n or hate chatroom, delete it. Barf lake in the hallway? Clean it up. Weather they wanna go the step further of bitch-slapping the bad guest, is a different matter....

The alternative is to stop having parties....But parties are so much fun, isn't the vigilance and acceptance that sh*t's gonna happen worth it?
