    I can't find any airline that flies there. How do you get there?

    Google maps did not show it.
    Apple maps did show it, but you have to drive across the sun to get there.

    "NTIA’s responsibility includes the procedural role of administering changes to the authoritative root zone file – the database containing the lists of names and addresses of all top-level domains – as well as serving as the historic steward of the DNS."

    I'm not sure if this will suddenly lead to the "blocking" of "undesirable" content.

    Either they are running out of new customers to sell their overpriced products to, or the products are lasting so long, they are not being replaced as fast anymore.

    Or the boss needs a new private jet... this time painted blue.

    Was T-Mobile's throttled speed limit also 128K? Just wondering, I can't get their service here.

    I should have said nearly modem like speed, yeah, my trusty U.S. Robotics 56K never got THAT fast. There were days I sure wish somehow it would.

    My first upgrade to the world of DSL was 320K and that did feel like ridiculous speed. Now my cable company offers 1 gig plans... that's just ludicrous speed!

    My old dial-up ISP offered a service where you could use two modems, and dial the ISP to double your speed for an extra 5 dollars a month. Not quite 128 kbps mind you, but getting close.

    I know that modems topped off at 56K, but compared to modern broadband speeds, 128K does almost feel modem-slow!

    Some "commoners" actually do care, even if they do not subscribe to scientific journals or earn money through research grants.

    Keeping science to the "Professional scientists" is the very root of the problem. The very statement reeks of elitism. The scientific method and sharing of results is supposed to be a process, not a social class for the "enlightened ones".

    How many discoveries were made by people not part of the "in crowd" The peer review system is good in theory, but with such a small subset of the population represented it's like inbreeding - too few eyes, leads to group think and limited opposing views that may find holes in existing suppositions and paradigms.

    Does it also make the sound of an analog modem establishing a connection every time you send or receive data?

    I think I'd rather pay the overage fee...
