These days the cover price of many magazines has nothing to do with cost, and is merely a barrier to entry to ensure that the advertisements in the magazines are seen by a target audience. I don't think that a publisher would go so far as paying us to take out subscriptions. The way they would pay us to view their adverts would be to include interesting articles that we want to read, and by giving the magazine free to those who ask for it.

MP3Pro Released

OK, so Fraunhoffer / Thomson have released it as Windows only for now, but it's like the original MP3 in that decoding is free for non-commercial use. I expect XMMS to include a plug-in for it within a week, and for T0rd to have bladeencPro written real soon now.
I don't get it. The same people who went apesh** trying to shut down a service that promoted their work for free are paying radio stations to broadcast to a non-paying audience. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It has nothing to do with revenue, and everything to do with control. What's wrong with this picture?
You want a browser that can do HTML and CSS well without extra bloat?
It's called Galeon.

Only funny in America? Nah. I'm British, and I found it hysterical.

....is that hiding behind the sofa will have no effect.
I was trying to be polite. Take apesh** and substitue the asterisks and you get apeshit. Sheesh.
