Here at the University of Missouri-Rolla the standard is the HP49G, but you can still buy slide rules in the bookstore. People get them all the time for graduation, but I've never once seen someone use one. When my dad graduated with a CS degree from here 15 years ago, he used an HP-35 -- it doesn't work any more, so he recently bought a 49G.
