While I agree, certainly with Brain of Morbius being an outstanding story (with exception of the reincarnations of the Doctor!), Genesis of the daleks certainly wasn't as dark as some of the earlier Hartnell/Troughton story lines. Prime examples are: 'Dalek invasion of earth' (Hartnell), and 'The Chase'... also Hartnell. And let's not forget The Dalek Masterplan, pts 1 and 2. Now, these are scary!!
