By seismic event I guess you mean they picked up something on the scales? Or you read about it on the news, not something you actually experienced? (and note fraking has been going on since 1947, so sure it's not something you've cared about in your lifetime until now that it is a news item)
And why all that? Microsoft has no involvement in you selling your Xbox. If it has some data on there that you don't want others to know it's your fault. Not like "you can wipe this clean and sell it" is listed as a feature.
To quote "Nowadays you practically need a 'colonoscopy' (his spelling) to get on a plane.". Since he's not been on a plane since 2001, where's he get that from? I'm never had to do anything near a colons-copy to get on a plane, so he can read and he comes up with that conclusion?
I don't like the TSA, but they really haven't made much of a difference in how I fly at all. And I doubt a person who's hasn't flown since 2001 but has had is opinions built by propaganda where hey thinks "colons-copy" are required has any space to make an opinion on any modern flight.
And that I want to ask about, I'm not a frequent flier by any means, and not a participant in Global Entry or anything else (I don't even have a passport), but last flight I took I was shuttled into the prechecked line... so... any ideas?
They do do a thorough background check. It's not like $100 just puts you in the VIP TSA lane and for some reason the VIP TSA lane has less checks (it don't). You're $100 pays for the application to have a background check. And at some airports the VIP/1st class lane gets you to the prechecked lane (would you expect less?)
I fly first class. And I love the fact the lines are shorter (hell, I pay extra almost for that alone). But precheck is a separate lane (at least at McCarran) it's just that VIP/1st class gets you to that lane (it branches off from VIP/1st class). I don't know about other airports though.
But this article is a trip to me. Last Sunday I flew back (1st class) from Vegas, and of course was using the 1st class lane, but they had me take the Precheck lane for the TSA screening. I had NO idea at all what that lane was and was really wondering why I got singled out to go through it. And until this article pretty much forgot about the whole thing.
From reading the article, there was no reason at all I should have been in that lane. I don't fly internationally, I've never submitted to a customs screening of any sort and so on (and from the article it's American and Delta flights, I was Alaska).
Same here as far as "old news" goes. Although it's my TVs themselves that do DLNA and not my (I don't own one) Bluray player.
I'm guessing your Bluray player is a Sony? (I don't know if other manufactures are using Wifi for some of their remotes but Sony has starting with their 2011 product lines hence their apps for allowing some mobile phones to act as a remote).
I agree with the damage being caused by a crash. There are other pictures of the damaged prop available elsewhere that show them holding a broken off piece from the rotor was damaged. If it had actually been shot off that piece would have been pretty darn hard to find. Note, the rotor had at least 2 pieces broken off from it (leading edge starting at the tip, then the trailing edge just behind that, but inward from the tip).
Looks typical for smacking the tip of the rotor into the ground.
There's actually other pictures of the damage to the drone available elsewhere. In some of those pictures they show the pieces of the drones rotor that were "shot" off. Which if they were really shot off, would make locating those pieces a pretty impressive feat.
Looks like damage caused by that particular rotor smacking into the ground (it came down pretty hard). (leading edge of the rotor hitting the ground, breaking it into 3 pieces).
My guess is that including GPL'd software in their store would require Microsoft to make the source code available (since Microsoft would be the entity distributing the binary, they would be required to distribute the source code to said binary also). The BSD license does not have that requirement.
You're talking about the "Liberal" label where anyone who disagrees with a "Liberal" is evil?
Since labeling has suddenly became uncool (it's only been in the last week) "Liberals" are the worst about labeling anything (hatist, raceist, homophobe, sexist, rich, madeupthinghere) than anyone.
As far as I can tell "Liberals" are all about labeling everything (that's of course not them).
No, I definitely think PCs are better for sims than Consoles are, just commenting that there was at least one decent one for consoles. And it will use most of the buttons on your controller (figuring out what "Button 18" was was fun)
As far as IL-2 goes I've used to play that up through Pacific fighters (Although I barely played that, stopped mostly after Forgotten Battles).
There's actually a dearth of of flight sims even for the PC. I still have my MS FS 1.0 and Jet disks, first time I ever played a "flight sim" was on my neighbors Commodore 128 though...
Now I'm tempted to go play Aces high again, thanks a lot.
It's just people panicing over the new evil...

We've been fracking since 1947... it's not something new. So were all other earthquakes caused by it?
I got those months backwards.
The greens were all over natural gas until just a few years ago, until suddenly natural gas is the new enemy.
We've been fracking since 1947 and NOW it's a big deal?
Oh yeah, since natural gas prices have dropped and it's sustainable until the rest of my lifetime, now it's the new evil. Seriously?
(my home runs on natural gas, which WAS clean? no? My provider dropped by prices by 1.5% in Nov and again by 5% in Oct)
Seriously, I think they just want us to burn down forests and use wood for heat.

Now taking off shoes is frig'n annoying...
Sure, you can perceive experiences the same way the only comments you see on a forum are the ones from people that are unhappy.
Sorry to reply to myself, but for ending that with "any ideas", watch me get all search and stuff next time I fly...
And that I want to ask about, I'm not a frequent flier by any means, and not a participant in Global Entry or anything else (I don't even have a passport), but last flight I took I was shuttled into the prechecked line... so... any ideas?
Last time you flew was 2001? Then how would you know it is now?
And no, it's not hard. My last 2 flights I spent less than 2 minutes in the TSA lanes on both the original flight and the return flight.
I'm sure some people have had more problems than I have, but you obviously aren't one of them and can't state an educated opinion on it.

Having Global Entry, Sentry or whatever pass will get you one.
Or for some random reason you can get shuffled into that lane like I did (and in hindsight, it might of been because I had no carryons, who knows).
I can imagine, LAX is a beast to begin with, but December 23rd had to be one hell of a pain.

TSA is goofy.
As a native (Yurok), wtf are you talking about?

I actually wanted to play it, but the sound completely killed it for me.

Out of curiosity, have you seen a positive label yet?
Nope, I just picked the ones I read about on thinkprogress.
And did you just accuse me of being all the above? You a liberal?
And I more than agree with you on the rich. But with that 200k a year thing, I'm kinda close to being one by that definition.
You're talking about the "Liberal" label where anyone who disagrees with a "Liberal" is evil?

Birds of prey, yeah.
