I use Outlook on my Windows machines, and have received email virus quite often. I have never been affected by them though, because I just don't open anything suspicious.

You are forgeting about the solar wind. There is also the solar wind which is a constant stream of charged particles, considerably heavier than photons.
I haven't had many problems with Telstra Bigpond at all. I run it on Linux, with Roaring Penguin PPPoE and it works most of the time. The only time I have seen problems is when trawlers pull up their cables. The 3 gig limit is annoying, but I can survive until they increase it.
It doesn't need anything to push against. The solar wind pushes it along. And the reason it was shaped like a windmill, is that it should spin a bit if it gets a push from the solar wind.
Well actually a laser doesn't have to be perfectly straight and narrow. A laser is just a coherent light.

I've been using mine on Linux, and have had none of these problems.
The server address has changed once again. It is now msgr-ns29.msgr.hotmail.com.
That should work. I am using it now with Everybuddy.
