i have a t20 thinkpad i got in 2000 and its battery died after about 18 months. it too was tied to the wall for a while before i could dish out the $190 for a new one
i've got 2 76.8 gig 75gxp's (the DTLA-307075). they're both great. they're fast as hell, and it takes 5-10 seconds to transfer a gig from one drive to the other. i don't have them raided because i didn't get them at the same time, but i've had no problems with them. and on top of that, every time i've ever had a problem with an IBM product, their tech support has been perfect. it's hard for me to imagine someone having a problem with either IBM or one of these great drives.
I'm not sure what it is specifically, but i know it's something OBSCENE, like 140 G's. (!!!!) Check the IBM hardware page for the exact number. Generally though, IBM stuff is WAY over engineered. I had one of their old keyboards, and we tried over and over to break it and it woudn't break. not jumping on it, not driving over it with a trooper, not throwing it off the roof. The way we finally killed it (but only sort of) was we put it under a city bus.
so the richest 2% of adults... but what about all the billionaires still in grade school? this study is clearly flawed, i declare shenanigans!
you should wear this shirt to work.
