ummm, I think the DoD wants a lil more security than your call home to your wife needs.

  2. ummm, yeah... on The Free State Project · · Score: 1

maybe I'm just closed minded, though I like to think I'm pretty liberal.

This sounds confederateish to me (yes I made that word up), and they loss. But anyway, I simply believe the governments in place do more good than harm, and this comes from a homosexual who cant get married. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and thats mine.

  3. Funny comment on Itanium Problems · · Score: 1

Reading that article I got one major laugh...

"Every big computing disaster has come from taking too many ideas and putting them in one place, and the Itanium is exactly that," said Gordon Bell a Microsoft researcher

Appearantly they don't research their own product, IMHO

  4. Re:We're not really catching up on New Linux Worm Found in the Wild · · Score: 1

I think another point to mention is that the fixes for this vuln were available before I even heard of the worm, which could be another significant reason for the lower amount of infections.

  5. YIKES on Covad Planning For Chapter 11 · · Score: 1

in most areas this will leave the local telco for DSL services, kind of scary, I know PBI and SBC are not my dream local exchange carrier. And Covad was so dreamy too, fast orders, good customer care and good info on the process of the order, as for speakeasy, my fav ISP and what I wholey recommend, say it aint so! If covad goes they'll have to partner with a telco to survive, if they survive.

isn't this only a day or so after MS announced its support of MONO?

  7. and ISPs will on Wireless Freenets · · Score: 1

just raise their prices, so no, I dun believe it will affect the ISPs anymore than this has already, I mean the most of whats around anymore anyway is the (semi-)big guys.
