  1. Projects Failing on How To Make Software Projects Fail · · Score: 1

Projects fail because people have good Ideas but can't ever get them on the market because either, people can't accept it because it is above their head, or it wasn't practicle.

  2. The problem is not in the ID's but the public on Liberty Alliance Gains Momentum · · Score: 2, Interesting

No one can be a wolf if people did not make themselves sheep. The masses are the ones who allow such an ID if they are tired of putting in User names and Passwords over and over.

It matters not if Microsoft or Liberty has the ID it matters that people know enough to realize that this is a bad Idea.

For such a great place, it is absulotly bafling to me that we can have people on here who think we should kill Islam because it is the source of all world troubles. And others hailing the Idea of dropping nukes on a country where there are bound to not even hit a damn terrorist, but rather kill tens-of thousands of innocent people!!! How the hell do you people live with yourselves?

"You're philosophy won't save lives, a nuke will" How in God's name is a weapon of mass destruction dropped on a country where most of the people are starving anyway help stop radicals in America that are destroying things????

How exactly do you people figure you are better than any of these terrorists? By killing thousands of people cause you are pissed? Next time, try thinking for about 40 seconds about who you are instead of the people you hate.

  4. Responsibility on Council of Europe Pushes Net Hate-Speech Ban · · Score: 1

What is it that makes us think that it is the responisbility of others to shield us from what they view is wrong?

How is it that instead of letting people decide what the line between good and bad is, we decide what is unacceptable and stifle them?

This is censorship, it is one group deciding what everyone else's good/bad line should be. It isn't their place to decide that.

It is the responsibility of people to decide what is right or wrong, we shouldn't let one thing justify another. Having one group decide what that is just allows them to decide that webpages for programing are wrong because they spread hacking.

  5. Re:Haven't we learned anything? on Council of Europe Pushes Net Hate-Speech Ban · · Score: 1

The ability to control hate speech and such isn't a filtered effort, merely it s an effort for actual people to search the internet and prosocute and shut down web-sites containing illegal things, or racist or hate pages.

It is easy to think of something like that as common sense but it still is just one more move to controling the freedom of the internet. Let's say that anyone talking about using perl in a destructive or manipulative way could be prosocuted for an internet crime, what then?
