Too bloody right!
I have SCSI Drives that are over 10 years old, and NONE of them have a single bad sector, and yet, I am replacing IDE Drives at least once a year!!!
Another thing with SCSI Drives, is that you can do what I have done on the Atari, and use a few small drives just to keep your system files on, and you can setup each drive to which O/S you want, I have one drive for MiNT, one for Magic, one for Geneva, and one for Linux. All 4 drives are plugged-in, and all are set to ID0, and I use a rotary switch on the power connection.
Switch was 50p insulting tape was a quid, and the connections I got from an old PSU.
