Charter high speed internet already uses some port filtering, they block outgoing traffic on ports 21, and 80 (and probably more) to prevent people from using personal grade for what their tech-support call "business purposes"(Web/FTP servers).
If memory serves... Isn't Intel already utilizing asynchronous technology in thier StrongARM line of processors? I thought they developed an asynchronous processor back in the early pentium days, but the costs of mass producing it were pretty steep.
