  1. Trump is Russia's big play in the U.S.? on Russia Hackers Had Targets Worldwide, Beyond US Election (apnews.com) · · Score: -1, Flamebait

IMO, if Russia swung the election then they already own the country; they are in every computer, spying on government and citizens and manipulating everything in the U.S. It's over. If this is true then why is Trump their big play? Destabilizing the West was more effective under Obama. O intentionally tried to knock the U.S. down to size. Trump is trying to do the opposite. Just because he doesn't blame Russia as a villain even though Obama-era Intelligence Community does, doesn't make him a type of Manchurian Candidate. It doesn't make sense.

The evidence does not support your conclusion at this point. Just because someone on the Trump campaign had contact with Russians means nothing. Taking out ads on Facebook is not a cyberattack. Most voting machines are not online either. And make no mistake if Hillary had won with the help of a foreign power there would be no investigation, no media witch-hunt. Evidence needs to be presented soon that Trump is guilty or the Left needs to back-off because they are wasting everyone's time.

  3. Re:Shouldn't be punishable anyway on FCC Won't Punish Stephen Colbert For Controversial Trump Insult (slashdot.org) · · Score: 1

How does Trump not have any respect for free speech? Everyday regular people and the media, through free speech, say every insulting and negative they can think of about him without any fear of retaliation. I haven't heard of anyone disappearing or any magazine being shut down. He has the right to fight back. Also, I thought the issue with Colbert's comment was that he tried to insult Trump by claiming that he performs homosexual acts as if that were something to be ashamed of. That's not very PC of Colbert.

  4. Dissent will be fake news on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft Will Create 'Hash' Database To Remove Extremist Content (reuters.com) · · Score: 4, Insightful

Say goodbye to free speech on the internet. This all started because democrats lost the Presidency and painted "fake" news as the scapegoat. Who will decide what constitutes "fake" news? Google, Facebook, etc - giant left-leaning entities that have massive control over people's internet experience and the information they access. I can see dissenting view points increasingly characterized as "fake" and effaced.

  5. This will turn into censorship. According to Wikileaks, Eric Schmidt (therefore Google) is very tight with the Democratic party. This will go beyond just punishing "fake news" - it will change the news. Google and the Dems would have gladly labeled Wikileaks as "fake news" this election. Policing the information of the internet is impossible anyway.
