Personally, I'm not worried at all about the stagnation of clock speeds. GHz aren't everything, instructions per clock have greatly increased even if clock speed hasn't. This means that a 4GHz Skylake single thread is much faster on the same task when compared to a 4GHz Sandy bridge single thread.
