its always the case and it'll always remain like that, since all distros maintainers seem quite and following the gnome and systemd folks in their mess.
gnome folks cloning the mac interfaces hardly, systemd folks cloning windows architecture hardly.
the result project redhat will name it "macdows"
at best we're heading into a disaster, and the primary ones to blame are Arch and Debian devs, they're responsible for this mess.
one guy at arch forced the the switch then get hired by redhat, debian vote was a total mess and everybody know about it doesn't need further discussion.
