RMS is only trying to catch all the loose ends. It all boils down to this (below snipped from RMS editorial):
The QPL is incompatible with the GPL, which means that Qt and GPL-covered modules cannot legally be combined, unless the developers of one module or the other grant an exception to permit it.
-snip-
in some cases code was copied into KDE from existing GPL-covered modules whose copyright holders had not given special permission. (Only the copyright holders can give extra permission to do things that the GPL does not permit.) That is a real violation of the GPL.
-snip-
Qt 2.2 provides the basis to solve this secondary problem, but a certain amount of cleaning up will be needed to fix it thoroughly.
-snip-
Soon KDE should be properly based on a GPL-covered version of Qt, and the Free Software Movement will be able to think of KDE/Qt as a contribution and not as a problem. //end quote
There, a GPL violation.. he should know what he's talking about, right?
Nice that you decided to keep the longer format. I liked the explanation about micro$0ft, since i haven't read that much/. lately. Very realxed and cool episode. This is great, keep it up!
That's exactly what i meant. Ads really sucks. Annoying to have in the GiS archives, and not really relevant for me (I'm in Sweden). One whould think they are getting enough money from all the banners. Getting gready perhaps?
I really like this one, one of the best yet! Just as i like it, largely offtopic and crazy. The fact that the show is a bit longer than the previous is just GREAT! I think you should keep it ~20minutes long, it feels more natural and not as "rushed" as before. Oh, if you _must_ have ads, put them at the END!
You lost your nose in a freak accident, but you're happy about it?
This article is way better than the one linked in the story: http://shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=564&page=1/
