Does anyone here remember what the phrase "Over-Invented" looks like?
90% of PC users aren't _ever_ going to use the power of these new architectures. Heavy-duty gamers, yes. Scientists, yes. CG creators, yes. But for the most part, it looks like the PC is going the way of the Web; over-invention. And most of it's probably just to keep a generation over over-paid lardbottom Dilberts and Marketing boneheads employed at Intel and AMD, as they've pushed the physical chip technology about as fast as it can go.

Overdone, overplayed, commercialistic hollywoood-land predigested schmaltzy Pap for the Masses. Gad. I am so sick of Bileburg and his "Ballcap-hey-I'm-just-a-regular-Joe-with-200- million-bucks" act I could hurl, not to mention 90% of his flics.
His material is just _so accessible_ and _formula_. Add: Adorable children, well-scrubbed wholesome families, pure and noble patriarchs and matriarchs, season heavily with saccharine, and shake until queasy. You laugh, you cry.
Yawn.
And as such, it will be a Great Success, despite the fact that, according to a recent survey, the public's interest in "Aliens" is at it's lowest point ever. Why? 'Cause all you need to succeed in today's "splinter market" is 100,000 or so whackos who believe that aliens are among us and are using us as breath freshners. In today's America, it's a guaranteed find. And Sci-Fi's got 'em watching.
(Which is not to berate that channel; it's got some very good REAL Sci-Fi on it.)
Gad, when is Hollywoodland going to hire some REAL sci-fi writers, not just some super-rich schmaltz mill, to make good sci-fi flics?
