now 15 year old kids are taking down corporate web servers, writing virii, writing software that negates copyrighting etc...

This is slightly off-topic, but I've been wondering for a while what percentage of these 'script-kiddie' activities are actually done by 15 year olds etc., and how many are done by 'adults' with some sort of grudge or nothing better to do. Lot's of people here blame this stuff on teenage kids, but is this really fair/representative?

We all know about people who pretend to be some else in chat-rooms...do people who write viruses masquerade as teenagers to hide their true intentions?
