You brought the matter to 'us', the slashdot community.
And the 'false' imformation is infact true. You have no claim over openssh.org. you weren't the first to register it, and you can't force him to give it up. he isn't doing anything to harm your users, and is even courteous enough to forward mistaken travelers to the proper address.
I'm alittle surprised your tone has gone from: > Any help or suggestions in breaking the deadlock > are appreciated.
to: > everybody keeps clamoring the false > information over and over?
having scanned thru the comments, and read the more interesting ones, i notice that most any message that is obviously in openssh.org's favor, mr. fries promptly replys with a hostile-toned message.
I came to this discussion completely neutral, but after seeing the replys mr. fries has given.. the patently obvious "why won't you idiots see my way" attitude, my opinion has swayed completely in favor of openssh.org. I believe Mr. fries is attempting to use the known strong reactions of slashdot to attempt to brute force the openssh.org issue into his favor.
I am saddened that someone so petty, and small minded is a representative of OpenBSD project.
what about using a chording keyboard? Lets forget notebooks for a moment, and lets talk waterproofed wearable PC, with HMD display (brings to mind ideas for displaying it on the lens of the goggles.) and a waterproofed chording keyboard. then you would have the same manuverability, and the coordination problem should be moot, as the chording keyboard is one handed, and has a strap that attaches it firmly to the hand.
I think that would be a potentially bad move for M$. if the case goes bad for them, and the skip contry, couldn't the US Gov. just Ban their products in the US?
I mean, why not? we ban movies, books, drugs... why not the Products of a company that took its ball home when it was told it played unfairly?
I agree. its nice to know i'm not the only one who finds the FBI overzealous in seeking out someone in so high a position. I also find the scant media coverage on this extremely slanted.
last i heard, i was innocent until proven guilty.. now i know better. I'm guilty as long as the media chooses to portray me as such.
I can only hope that the Jury who handles this case has justice at the forefront of their mind, and resist the temptation to give in to the "protect the children" hysteria that has been raised to hide and justify the shady and unlawful actions of the goverment.

Have you considered raving a cron grab the xml
_once_ every 30 minutes, and having the users
all access your local copy?
it woudl do a lot to keep your site from being banned.
