While I was tempted to troll I thought I'd be serious: What's the big deal? You're not running your production system on hardware without a support contact anyway are you?
If anything this gives you some value for money!
Windows- Pay money upfront and get security updates for free.
Solaris - Pay no money upfront then pay for security updates.
While its initially a bit of a surprise its not outrageous.
I can't seem to find the video I'm looking for but I'm a fan of the new Sun Data Center cooling design. Works on the idea of cooling each cab individually and not all the rest of the rubbish air floating around. I know its been done before but this time its done right. Info somewhere here
