The Help Desk at USU has a knowledgable staff and has handled dorm storm really well in the past. We have Internet starter kits that have step-by-step instructions to get connected, and a superb web site that can be used in any of the labs or from their parents house before they come up, to set up username / password, register ethernet card for an ip address, etc. Basically we set out to provide all the answers that people swamped us with, thus freeing up our time to work on those old 486 sx 4mb laptops running windows 98se.
