Heres a neat analogy:
Orson Wells was to film as John Carmack is to computer gamiong.
Both were immensly successful in their early years (Wells directed Citizen Kane in his 20's) and created a model that was mimicked for long time.
I'd say download an NES emulator or SNES emulator if you don't mind emulation. How about some of the Monkey Island games? I think the firstone might have been released as freeware...
I don't quite understant why people use hotmail. There are plenty of other free email services out there. Even if you use Yahoomail, I'm sure you'd get less spam. Searching on google, I can find plenty of free email accounts. Some of them are even POP3 accounts so you can use your own client. Why would anyone in their right mind use and stick with hotmail?
I seem to remember reading something earlier on a holographic method of storing information. Hollywood's going to have to decide which thing it wants us to buy.
Dear Gov't:
Next I'd like to see some Eva or Gundam based mechs. After that, how about some TIE fighters? Oh yeah, and then those angel-arms from Trigun.
:-)
what about gaim? even though its probably not as widely used as trillian, aol still has a version of aim available for linux. so does this mean that aol could potentially go after gaim?
On their website's index page, it says : What is it?
RNL is a file-sharing program for trading legal recordings of live concerts. This is not for sharing your copyrighted mp3s. RNL is a way for fans of bands that support live recordings to share shows in the quickest way possible.
Is there any way this can be actually implemented into the program or otherwise, or are they just hoping the RIAA will give them a break for their good intent?
Assuming this is true, how long have they been doing this? I seem to remember when the cable guy came to hook us up and all, he told us we could use a router to connect multiple computers. Also, I don't think I know of anyone who has cable or DSL with 2 computers that doesn't use a router.
im pretty sure that what theyre doing isnt legal...invasion of privacy or something like that. They don't have the right to snoop into people's privacy like that

Dad: Clean up these robots for testing before dinner.
Son: But I was going to the tashi station to pick up some power converters!

It only makes the bleeps, go to http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product _id=1819726 and watch the video, its pretty neato.
Do I get a real Kenny Baker, too????!!!??
God I love our government.
I've been using linux for under 5 months and I rarely ever use RPM's, even though I run RedHat. I prefer to compile programs.
what a waste! they should give it to me so i can play games on it! who cares about the weather anyway...
China now poses a serious threat to Nasa...no, kidding... But if the government doesn't give Nasa more money....
Soon people really will be all thumbs.

I would think it would be pretty hard to DoS Slashdot, since it has enough bandwidth to handle all the user load and still be a pretty fast site.
