I'm fairly confident this is just a fake news item (a la The Onion).. read the last paragraph:

Regardless of what you think of MSFT and it's products, do you really think Bill Gates would say something like that?

SirCam wouldn't allow for the installation of Norton Anti-Virus (at least Corporate Edition). You had to use the removal tool before you could install NAV.
That's a pretty illogical argument you have there. In fact, I believe communism (my best guess as to what you suport) would encourage such compartmentalization. "don't worry about anything except your job, we'll take of everything else" and "keep coding for the man, don't question who you are, what you are doing, you only exist to work"
Those lines seem more characteristic of communism than capitalism.
