Im all for more games with more 2D GAMEPLAY. Let them use 3D for the graphics, whatever gets the job done.
I am tired of having to move a camera to get a better view of whats behind a bush or around the corner. Are there people out there that actually enjoy it? Just because something can be done doesnt always mean it should, even if its free.
Id consider Snood a quite sucessful indie game. Proving not only that you dont need a bazillion dollars to develop a sucessful game, you also dont need an original idea.
The united states and other counties have been using combat robots for some time. The sad thing is they often manage to kill or maim civilians. I am sure you've heard of them. They are called landmines.

Yes. And there are even more benefits to using industry standard formats.
what crystal space really needs is a good example of it in work. a game if thats what its targeted at.
i dont know how well a game engine would do even if it came out of id software without a game attached to it.
you guys should at least read what the guy had to say before attacking.
