In the "not what it's intended for, therefore it's cheap" category, I often use a synthetic cutting board placed on top of a pillow. The feet grip well to the board and it does not heat up like wood does and provides good ventilation. I place a non-skid mouse pad on one end when I want to use a mouse (or you could glue one on). A bonus feature is when it gets dirty, you can just throw it in the dishwasher.
Could this explain some of the so-called "media bias" - that the media leans left because the majority of successful media personnel must readily accept new social, scientific or religious ideas?
What they need to do is get it added to all car stereos for no additional cost, then have a pay-per-day/week option. If I were taking a trip, I could call an activation number on my cell phone and have the receiver activated for the duration of my trip. The cost would be added to my phone bill. Maybe $1 per day or $5 per week.
This would also be nice if I got tired of the cd's in my car and nothing good was on the standard radio, I could call and activate it immediately.

This is not the one that I use, but just find one that's the size that you need - http://www.amazon.com/Vision-Easy-Grip-Cutting-Board-White/dp/B00013KR72

When I use the whitehouse.gov website, I am a citizen. There's a difference.
